A little about me...

I'm not a bad blogger I promise... well, maybe a little but there's a really good reason. I've been in bed... yep, literally in bed, for three weeks now.

I've gotten up only to go to the doctor or drive Mom's taxi when absolutely, positively necessary (which hasn't been often enough to say I'm even a taxi driver). It's been a hellish three weeks. Ever since we got back from the camping trip, (which was awesome but I'll NEVER go camping in that kind of temperature ever ever again) I've been sick with one thing or another.

Last week my doctor tells me she's reasonably certain (her words) that we're dealing with {more than Rheumatoid Arthritis}. (She said the name of it, but I refuse to claim it so I'm not writing it... I just will not...) So, there goes more of my good ole blood into 5 more vials. I swear, I've got more blood floating around this county than a wino has booze...

So I hope to get those results next week. We'll see. Still don't have the results of my dexascan. Don't have the results of my MRI I took yesterday and won't until late next week or week after. I'm so frustrated.

So anyhow, I'm out of bed. Really out of bed. Not functional, but out of bed. I did some dishes this morihng (which of course not one soul in this house will do but me), cleaned the bathroom (ditto that on the bathroom). I have a load of laundry in the washer and another one waiting. I now have two little boys visiting my little guy and tonight we go see the fireworks at the County Fair. So, tomorrow I'll be back in bed. HA HA HA HA HA

Just wanted you all to know I'm here, alive and gently kicking the covers.

Now, I've been tagged so here's my tag!

I'm not sure I have 7 random facts you guys don't already know about me but I'll give it a shot.

1. My real name is Elizabeth and I despise being called anything other than "Lissa" or "Elizabeth".

2. When I was little, I had an all white cat named Puffy (who was very naughty) and a black and white cat named Thomas (who was very sweet). We also had a Springer Spaniel named Lou (my grand dad's dog actually) and a Britany Spaniel named The Royal Duke of Henderson (Duke for short). They were awesome. Last but not least, we had a beautiful canary named William. He sang really sweetly so we called him sweet William. Within 3 years, we had none of them and moved to another city where we couldn't have any animals. We got fish... booooooooring...

3. I taught myself how to swim when I was 8 years old. I love being in the water. That's pretty indiscriminate too... I love the water - the bath, the shower, waterfalls, pools, tide pools, ocean, lakes... it doesn't matter - I love the water.

4. I learned how to fish when I was very little by surf fishing with my Daddy on the NC Coast (at Ocracoke and Shalotte).

5. I adore boys. I love little girls, but despite my childhood (don't ask) boys are my favorites. They are sweet and fun and they love their mommies. I think God most definitely knew what he was doing when he gave me all boys. If I'd have had a daughter, I'd have had her in lace, pink and frills before she exited the womb...

6. I've never won a trophy of any kind in my life. I've won medals, I've won ribbons, I've won a high school letter. I've been inducted in honor societies, but i've never ever won a trophy.... There's something that's just so cool about a trophy standing on a shelf for a job well done... alas, it eludes me.

7. I have a real issue with getting a pedi. I absolutely cannot do it. If you've ever been to a foot washing service in church, you can probably relate. I'll never ever be able to have a pedicure...

So that's my wierd 7 random facts... I'll do my best to let you all know you've been tagged, but here are my 7 folks.

1. Jacquie

2. Jodi

3. Jolene

4. Kathy

5. Torreh
