My new word for the year........

Each year (well, this is only the second year), I select a word that I will focus on for the year. Last year was Persevere. And persevere I did. I changed things, made decisions, worked hard, and not only did I persevere, I feel like I grew. I grew both spiritually and emotionally. I learned a great many lessons and I began new journeys. All in all, it was a very hard year, but it was a very good one too.

This year, I choose exuberant. What a great word... Exuberant. It just sounds wonderful doesn't it? Like it would be wonderful to be able to assign such a fun "shiney" word to one's day or life. So this year, I will be exuberant, fun, lively. I'll SHINE!

Here are the different definitions of my new word:

ex·u·ber·ant [ig-zoo-ber-uhnt] –adjective

1. effusively and almost uninhibitedly enthusiastic; lavishly abundant: an exuberant welcome for the hero.
2. abounding in vitality; extremely joyful and vigorous.
3. extremely good; overflowing; plentiful: exuberant health.
4. profuse in growth or production; luxuriant; superabundant: exuberant vegetation.

I think the part that got me excited was uninhibitedly enthusiastic and the whole abounding in vitality. I am so filled with joy on so many levels. There are many levels in my life that are lacking that same kind of vitality. It's those places I wish to improve, shine up a bit, bring profuse growth to them. I wish to be living exhuberantly in all aspects of my life.

So how about you. What's your new word? Share it with me, won't you?
